I was in the Earthquake in Nepal last year. Stayed for a month after and helped raise money and brought supplies to remote villages. My answer is absolutely not!!!

I think that is one sided thinking. Most businesses that survive the storm do capitalize on the storm whether they are trying to or not. If you live in a neighboring town and you own and construction company to go help and rebuild for free. Charities are capitalizing also.

I agree a little with both sides. While the construction company and stores that survive will benefit they should not jack up prices to take advantage of the situation. Like the only store with clean water can't sell it for 10 times the normal price. Things like that.

Depends on what my business has to offer. I know many contractors that chase storms so that they can be there for repairs and they make alot of money during storms. Most of the money is coming from insurance so I would not say anyone is getting ripped off no matter what the price charged.
