I will be voting and I think people need to thing about doing the same thing. If you must write a name in do that but always vote.

Rather than a form of betting, voting is best understood as a statement of preference. The totals send signals to elected officials and future candidates about public attitudes. And this is why voting for a third party candidate can be useful.

We have so many rights that others do not have and we should not take that for granted.

I had this discussion recently. A number of my friends are disgusted and really don't want to bother voting. I don't think that's the answer. We as citizens need to exercise our right to vote.

I have always voted - why wouldn't I, people died for our right to vote. Now it is so bad that I can't honestly vote for people that turn my stomach. I am ashamed and feel guilt for not voting and I am highly upset that it has come to this......what a shame.

In England, Scotland and Wales, only electors who are (or will be) registered individually are entitled to apply to vote by post.
Once you are registered you will need to complete a postal vote application form.Download the form to apply to vote by post (PDF)

After completing the form, you'll need to print it, sign it, and send it back to your local electoral registration office.

It is a choice and some will always choose not to vote and there is nothing wrong with that.

Marist conducted the survey from March 29-31, surveying 1,066 registered voters, including 497 Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents. For that subsample, the margin of error is plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

Anyone who has a passing familiarity with my writing over the past year will be aware of my loathing of Donald Trump. In light of this week’s Republican National Convention, I would like to take this opportunity to state 10 reasons I will not vote for the Republican nominee in November. Honestly, I have far more than 10 reasons. My reasons for voting against Trump are voluminous enough to fill the 32-volume set of The Encyclopedia Britannica. However, for both the sake of brevity and sanity, I shall confine myself to 10 reasons.

I will be voting. Too many people fought for my right to vote. I may be writing my own name on the vote but I will be voting. Lol

Randy Evans, the chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association, is not part of any anti-Trump effort. But he told Fox: “When I looked at the deadlines for the states and then at the polling data in terms of the number of people who are not satisfied with either of the nominees, I realized this is not a cockamamie plan. It could actually work if it had the right amount of funding.”

You are so right I would not miss a vote because our lives depend on it. Voting is the way we all stick together and make change. Is it legal to write your own name on the ballot?
