These women left Saudi Arabia and say they could be arrested, even beheaded, if they were to return.

It's sad that there are still many countries who treat women far worse than they treat animals.

Women empowerment should rise in the Middle East. It's about time to take the reins!

I agree! I guess it should be spread worldwide

We should help empower these women to rise up and stand for themselves. I can't believe that a country can still be so oppressive.

I'm with you on this man! It's horrible that it's still happening today and nobody can do anything about it.

It's the husband's fault too. They shouldn't oppress their women in the home. They should accept progress because women can do a lot of thing.

All I read are men's comments spewing hate and anger toward these women. Why? Why do you care if these women are in the U.S., enjoying the freedoms that American women have fought so hard to have? I commend these women for leaving their homes and seeking out a life where they can enjoy rights unavailable to them in their homeland. If I had a big enough house, I would let them stay with me. I do think these women should be granted asylum and any Muslim guy ranting in the comments section is only doing it out of hate and fear of women claiming their independence. Women's rights are HUMAN RIGHTS!

So they are affraid for their lives but are on TV program that can be seen in Saudi Arabia??? They can't go anywhere without a male relative but managed to plan and escape to US: how? Where did they get the money, the passport? This is not like jumping on a bus from Houston to New Orleans. So she was allowed to come here and study for few years by herself but had no freedom? I don't support the way Saudi Arabia treats women but this story makes no sense.

You can't be 100% Saudi and speak that good English ... no way , these women lived in America for long time and similar to millions of people they want to live here forever and ASYLUM is the easiest route to American citizenship. And Yes Saudi Arabia violates basic human rights but mostly with non Saudi ????????

In Islam there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Quran says:"And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women." [Noble Quran 2:228]

This is not a true representation of the situation on ground. For the past twenty years, Saudi government has taken major steps to integrate women as major part of their social systems keeping continued ties with their values. Every year thousand of scholarships are given for further oversees education irrespective of gender. For the knowledge of western free women, Women in Saudi are at a unique advantage. They are given most suitable jobs with many bells and whistles. They are not given the rights to drive yet as the road fatalities are highest in the world. Women showcased in the clip is not a representative sample of this society. It only shows the underline agenda CNN and BBC are working as tools to radicalize Muslim societies so the western women don't learn about Islam and Muslims.

They speak perfect English with an accent. But neither will BBC/CNN stop reporting against Islam nor will America stop interfering in other countries' issues. Saudi doesn't like 'Same-Sex Marriages' but have they intervened yet? No! So who are they to intervene? Lol! These ladies were provided education, food, passports, money and all they had problem was they had to 'inform' their parents where they're going and when they'll be returning. If men in Arabia tell their family where they're going and when they'll return them of course they'll demand the same from their women. This is how actual families function and if you can't accept this then maybe America doesn't have any family system. About driving rule, every country has different culture and rules. What America has to do with it?

Two of them Lmao so two women who were probably thrown out of their homes by their families (for obvious reasons) are the face of Saudi women and how women are treated? CNN is such a joke.

To achieve an accent like the one these ladies have. One has got to be living in this Country for 20 years or more. She says that she came from Saudi Arabia a month ago. So that means Saudi National Language is English. Haaaahaaa, Come on CNN. I definitely smell a rat here.
