I know right? So much happened over the past week, and people simply don't know about it?

People don't know about it because it doesn't concern them. Therefore they simply don't care about it and don't bother to look further into it, or look it up at all.

This civil war has been happening for about five years now, and the world is only showing interest, or even finding out about it, due to the recent connection between Russia and the elections. I have no idea as to why this imperative period in our history was not given the attention and coverage that it deserves.

I can honestly say that I knew nothing about it until a few days ago. I knew about the rebellion which led to the revolution in Egypt, which happened just before, if I'm not mistaken? But I really only heard about Aleppo for the first time by seeing a campaign that was posted on Facebook. And none of my friends knew about it either.

How was something of this scale completely sidelined and ignored by the media for so long...
