We live in a country that doesn't really value education and a qualification. Our leaders barely finished school yet we have qualified accountants and lawyers working as cleaners or security guards. Imagine that

I think that there is far too much emphasis and pressure on a degree being the most important thing, and the only option to go anywhere or do anything, which just results in people studying things that they hate and going into jobs that they didn't want in the first place. Yes, it helps, but it is not the be all and end all that people make it out to be. Unless you are the President. That is where your education should count.

There is so much pressure at school to go to university and get your degree, any degree, in order to be a contributing member of society and be 'successful'. There are so many other options and career paths that one can go into without a degree. People need to stop putting so much pressure on kids in high school, when the decision of what to do with their lives should be completely their own.
