Myst.
At the time, I thought it looked completely photorealistic. And the weirdest part is that my brain is constantly upgrading the graphics. The couple of times it was remastered, I always thought,"Didn't it already look that good?" If I imagine Myst now, it looks better than most current AAA games.
Memories are weird.

King's Quest. The game looked like a freakin' cartoon compared to what was out at the time. And you could walk in front of and behind objects. You have to understand, when this game came out, there wasn't anything like that. Games were flat.

Donkey Kong Country for the SNES had amazing graphics at the time it was released. I remember all of the video game magazines were in awe that Rare was able to make graphics that good on a 16-bit console.

Dragon's Lair in the arcade. (1983)
Look at pictures of that game, then look at pictures of the rest of the video games that came out in 1983. It was pretty mind-blowing to see as a kid. The gameplay of course was very simple and ultimately it was a pre-recorded cartoon, but man did that game catch a kid's attention.

Skyrim, it was the first game where I climbed mountains so I could enjoy the view at sunset. It was like art. I've loved games in the past, but nothing ever made me stop and appreciate the view.

Assassin's Creed. I grew up in a family with little money. So when I got a used Xbox 360 for Christmas, I damn near cried. My mom couldn't afford to get me more than one game and I picked a used AC I saw, not knowing it was actually new but mislabeled at GameStop. Cashier was awesome and gave me the new game for $13 seeing as that was the amount on the label. I still remember playing it for the first time and being in awe at the graphics. It was the first console of that caliber (considered high-end for the time) I ever played. My mom even sat with me while i played just to see the scenery in the game.
