I'm a terrible sleeper (well, technically fall-a-sleeper)... I always had a very active mind at night (since early teens), and I wish I just had a button to shut down my mind at night

Taking your mind off the problem can help to relax you and may help you to fall back asleep.

My insomnia is multifaceted. I have trouble falling asleep because I am very sensitive to light (sometimes I joke that I have invisible eyelids). I’m also very sensitive to sounds and have difficulty getting comfortable.

Your morning mug gets a pass, but guzzling it all day is a big no-no. Here’s why: It’s often said that caffeine has a half-life of about five hours—which means if you eat an early enough dinner, that after-supper cappuccino should be out of your system by bedtime, right? Unfortunately, that’s not quite right.
