Liveaboard diving the Great Barrier Reef is on the bucket list of many divers world wide. As far as amazing sights go, the Great Barrier Reef is up there. Which is probably why it is considered by many as one of the natural wonders of the world.

An all glass yacht or boat would be the best. I would want to have access to see the reef at all times. Why live that close to one of the greatest natural wonders on the planet if you cannot view it at all times?

I would love to renovate a very high tech military submarine as my living quarters. I could dive down and spend time with the coral and come back up whenever I want. Would not that be the best thing?

One of the best ways to experience the Great Barrier Reef is to go on what is known as a Liveaboard diving holiday These things rock. They are the best idea for getting you up close and personal with the reef and the awesome marine life that call it home. Some dives operators offer shark feeding if that’s your thing but don’t worry, that’s not a standard inclusion!

The barrier reef is a good distance offshore so there is considerable cruising time to get there and back even in the faster diving boats. The best way to dive it is on a liveaboard from Cairns and spend as many nights as you can afford (both time and money wise) to dive this wonder of the world.

Cairns liveaboard dive tours allow you to stay and play on Cairns’ Outer Great Barrier Reef. There are excellent dive sites, abundant marine life and there’s nothing quite like watching the sun rise and set over the Coral Sea.

With the fun and lively dive town of Cairns providing tour access to the barrier reef, you can have a great time on land as well as at sea. Unlike many other top liveaboard destinations, you do not have any of the inconveniences of visiting a developing country, since Cairns is a modern town with all the efficiency and amenities that you could expect.
