#ThanksNASA is trending, people thanking NASA for what they've done to further understanding our own planet.

Not all of this essential info has to do with climate change either. If their budget is cut, will the money go into other organisations committed to saving the planet? Mmmm?

I think not. Who else is better equipped?

As climate change becomes harder to deny, so to will a mass conversion of mentality become harder to defy.

I think we too easily slip into the idea that politics and status quo reside in different hemispheres. The people put Trump in power. So his views on the subject of climate change are, in the long run, largely inconsequential. What he does do bring to light, however, is the factime that the majority of one of the most influential countries in the world lack any sense of foresight. That's the scary bit.

Exactly! Who else is better equipped? What other organisation has the man power or tech to do the kind of research needed? NASA stimulates the world into these kinds of things.

#Thanks NASA is exactly what people need, and it's great that the people are supporting it. We need this research, and it's disgusting as to how American Leaders, as Trump is not the first, to deny the reality of climate change in order to gain economic growth and personal profit.

I really do hope that the people fight back on this one.

This man had to get his twitter account removed by his campaigning party and election team, in order to save him from scrutiny from the public. Does this not say enough? He is completely Ill-fit for the job in every way possible, including preserving the Earth. I genuinely believe he is going to use that budget for one of his multi-billion dollar companies instead of using it to promote and prioritise research that could, essentially, save the planet.

Donald Trump, the 45th president of the Assembled States, has called environmental change a"Chinese scam," so it's no big surprise atmosphere researchers are going ballistic about what will happen to the earth in the years to come.

His denial of something so important (and very expensive) just proves that the desire, pursuit, and preservation for money will always come first. As he is not the first to claim climate change to be fiction in order to avoid funding the necessary research that it requires.

It's truly to preserve and strengthen the position and status of your top companies that are in power. The fact that he, himself is an entrepreneur just makes the bias more obvious.
