History repeating itself. If they stay illegal long enough Ireland will use political efforts to get the other country to change the laws of their land to provide the Irish citizenship.

So 1719 were moved on because their Visa was violated, over here you dont need a visa or anything just show up demand a house, demand social welfare, demand everyting and you get it. and your not even questioned.

This is always a touchy subject in any country. I know there are laws but it is hard to send back people who are doing the right thing. It is easy when they are causing problems but some of these illegals are good people and helping the country.

This may be hard to believe but it is in line with the law. If this was to happen in this country it would be in line with the law also. I pray they all find their way back through proper channels but the system is in place for a reason.

They will never be able to find all of the people in a country who has expired visas. Most of them have already purchased other names and forms of identification already. They are in truth deporting the good people who are trying to it the right way.

This may actually be relief for many of them living on pins and needles. When your Visa expires your brain goes through all kinds of twists and turns thinking they are looking for you. Now there is no doubt if you let that Visa expire they are going to come for you.

No one wants to be uprooting from their home. You obviously have no idea what it feels like to be deported. I have family that have gone through this and it is awful.

There are increasing numbers of Irish citizens remaining in Australia after their visas expire. Some Irish nationals who are no longer in work simply cannot afford the flight and resettlement costs to return to Ireland.

He blamed a shortage of funding and a tricky environment, where authorities only have limited information, and it takes them months to decide if someone really did overstay their visa and if they are deemed serious enough offenders to make an effort to go after.
