By host - ella.torres"Silence creates space in our lives. It allows us to pause between moments, to process and reflect, to see beyond the surface into the depths of our lives. When we cut out silence, we cheat ourselves out of the fullness that life has to offer. Only in the silence can we truly hear the whispers coming from within us, urging us towards our highest potential... Without silence, we keep moving forward, not really knowing where we are or where we want to go." ~Kiara Elliott

I often seek the quiet place when I'm in busy surroundings. Yesterday, while waiting for an oil change at the dealership, instead of waiting in the waiting room with others, the TV on, everyone heads down with their phones and people moving in and out, I sat outside on a bench in the warm sunshine, just enjoying the gentle warmth, the blue sky, the soft swirls of ocean breeze. So peaceful.

I make silence a priority. It’s very important for our brains. When I’m alone in the car, the radio is always off. When I’m home alone, I keep the TV off...the saying “Silence is golden” is truth.

Get quiet and you'll know what you need. More quiet!

Quite true. We all need to"power down" at times. Even me, with ringing in my ears. Lol. Difficult for me to experience true silence. But I come close to it. :-)

I also love a good dose of silence....and darkness. Just to sit for awhile to recharge. The ultimate is floating in a float tank, something I try to do every couple of months. Try it, you might like it too!

But we live in chaos of this world, i work from 8 to 5, and come back home to screaming neighbors... how can I find silence when I am surrounded by stress, negativity, betrayal, and negligence?

Silence and solitude is one of the noisiest places I've felt.

The aim of being silent is to lead one to be immensly present in the moment, which we all hardly do.
