The government could just make this mandatory and supply everyone with the ability to do this but they won't. There is still too much money in fossil fuels to go solar for everyone. It is a shame but the earth does not come first.

I think only government cannot make the possible ways for it the public or commercial companies can make the environment or atmosphere to succeed it.. O:-)

Im disappointed. This plan is just a different type monopoly and does not seem to offer the freedom of alternative energy. Increased payment structure at little to no savings.

Google is the tax equity investor in Solar City which is far more expensive than self-reliance and energy independence.

My whole electric bill per month isn't even $100. I'm suppose to pay $100 rental a month for the panels?

You can consider signing up for a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through a company such as Solar City. They place the panels on your home free of charge and then you purchase the electricity from them.

I'm sure they will tax you on the savings!

Installing solar panels is a great way to save money, however, it’s important to understand just when you can expect to see those savings. Some options allow savings the day the system is live, where as others come with an upfront investment and provide greater returns over time. If you borrow money with a loan or qualify for a lease, you can often reduce your monthly electric bill immediately. If you decide to do a pre-paid power purchase agreement, or buy the system outright, you will have an upfront expense, but save more in the long run.

There was a time not so long ago when a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel system could pay for itself in fewer than five years in several states in Australia. But with the winding back of feed-in tariffs (FiTs) – which have been cut around the country – and the scrapping of the multiplier for small-scale technology certificates (STCs), most new panel installations now take a bit longer to pay off.

The information for solar should be more accessible and people should have the ability to build their own solar and wind energy capturing agents at free will. It just does not seem right that someone can control how much of the free Sun and wind we have in the world.

The thought of creating my own energy and selling it back to the city made me do this years ago. I have now already paid for the panels plus some gain on my side. From here on out it is all profit

If cost isn’t one of your main concerns, solar power is still a reliable, safe and eco-friendly choice. The expected useful life of a solar panel system is 30+ years and most systems require little to no maintenance. Switching to solar power lets you take control of low affordable energy rates – a perfect hedge against dwindling fossil fuel supplies.

So i have just only one question
how many units of electricity produced in world from solar cells or power and how many units of electricity produced by turbines ..

Good help is hard to find, especially when it comes to solar panel installation. With solar panels becoming increasingly popular, there are plenty of people out there who claim to know what they’re doing. Solar panels should only be installed by a trained professional.

If you live in a basement or mid-floor flat then solar probably won't be the right solution for you.

In a way, this step should actually come first, but having a good understanding of how solar works will help you better figure out your bill. There are currently three ways homeowners can add solar arrays to their property. The first is by simply purchasing an array and having it installed. The second is by leasing a solar array from a company that installs and maintains it, and the third is through a Power Purchase Agreement. Each method has its own variables and there are many companies operating in the space, so it’s impossible to generalize about which solution is the best one for you.

The cost of solar installation has been and will continue to be a significant part of the total overall cost for a homeowner switching to solar power.

If the main electricity grid goes out and there's a blackout, your solar power system is designed to automatically shut down too. The electricity supply authority requires that your system is isolated from the grid for safety reasons when the grid is down.
