If proven, of course he should pay for his bad doings.

I really dont think he's guilty of the accusations, I've been following this story and Rodrigo Duterte, and I have a full understanding of his personality by now. I think a lot of people needs to do that as well

You clearly haven't been following the story then. He is executing thousands of people, and that is okay because he has a sunny personality?

He should pay for the irreversible damage that he has done when deciding to take full advantage of, and manipulate, his position to slaughter thousands.

Drugs or not, these people did not deserve such a ruthless and merciless death. You don't exterminate people like rodents to take care of a drug problem.

Of course! How could anyone let him get away with this?

I am not sure if everybody who's commenting here have at least visited the Philippines. If you haven't I don't think you are in the position to pass judgement. The Philippines used to be a scary place to be especially after dark. Kids gets killed or raped by addicts. I am not saying what he is doing is right but I do appreciate the hard decision he's making to improve the country. Friends tell me that it's much more safer and quieter now.

I get that, I do. He just chose a savage way in which to do it. These people did not even get a trial, or an opportunity to defend themselves, even if it would just prove them to be guilty anyway. As I said, I understand what you are saying. But you must see how horrific his actions are?

It is not a 'hard' decision for him in the slightest. He doesn't have to deal with the carnage that he is leaving in his wake. There is no evidence that every drug user or dealer, has the odd fetish for raping and killing kids at full moon. Yet, he is not even bothering to look for evidence, to begin with. He is going on a killing spree, without actual evidence to, actually, condemn these people.

Yes. He turned his 'War on Drugs' into a 'War on Civilians'.

What he has done is a crime against humanity. Regardless of whether you try to justify it or not.

How is this even a discussion...

Everyone will pay for his/her sins.

There is no way to justify or pardon what he has done. How can you, and any other local, be okay with the massacre that he is completely responsible for?

Regardless of intent or outcome, this was a massacre, and he should be punished accordingly.
