The Trump administration is working on a supplemental funding package to pay for border and national security, but that work has stalled as the Senate moves slowly to confirm Trump's pick of Rep. Mick Mulvaney as his budget director.

Trump has increasingly said that Congress would fund the wall initially but would later be reimbursed completely by Mexico.

Wow! There would be no need for a wall if our existing laws would be enforced! Just start deporting people that didn't come here the legal way.

That so called boondoggle wall will only start at 15 to 20 billion by the time that monstrosity is completed if ever you are looking at a trillion dollars.

Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do. The Republican establishment and liberal Democrats hate it. But, that's not who voted for him. Get over it!

Definitely a misleading title. Sounds like the majority of Republicans are in favor of the wall as long as he can cut enough useless programs to fund it.

There's probably resistance because Americans will be the ones that have to pay for it. You can say Mexico will"reimburse" us all you want... I'm sure the check just got lost in the mail.

If Trump asked for volunteers from the American people to help build the wall I think the response would be enormous. Free labor and a lot of donated materials, it can be done a lot cheaper.

Why couldn't this be like a WPA program - hire unemployed, teach them skills (construction, hi-tech, etc), pay them and they pay taxes....

About time. This is beyond bipartisan. This is a mentally ill with Bannon and Jared running the most manipulative propaganda machine America has ever seen. God help us all.

Disgusting. Treasonous Republicans, but we all knew that Democrats and Republicans are owned by the same filthy money perverting Capitol Hill. Not even Trump can overcome that nonsense.

Progress! Some republicans now understand cutting revenue(taxes) and spending more money is a terrible idea. Also they are starting to realize that the wall is just a symbolic move that solves nothing.

There are ZERO illegals where I live at. They can build all the tunnels they want to and we will still have Zero illegals here because we move the parasites out before they can take root. Our policy is and will remain in force.

Why not just enforce existing laws and fine the employers who are providing the jobs? Oh wait, many of those employers are the same people who donate mega bucks to members of Congress. Never mind.

Bull crap! This is another thing he did to push the boundaries Then, he'll pull back while blaming others. Don't worry, there's guaranteed to be another catastrophe created to make"the wall" look like a cake walk.

What we all need to remember is that Trumps supporters are just a very loud... very ignorant MINORITY. The system elected Trump... not the people... and without the people he is doomed to fail and slink away with his minions. Two weeks in and he is already a disaster. He could have started off with a two week vacation and his administration would have been in better shape. He is an idiot...

He'll destroy our economy. A 20% surcharge on imported goods will be passed on to the consumer, us, and it's just a matter of time before the speculators start to increase the price of oil, because of tensions with Iran.

What Trump is doing to businesses, politicians, media members ... appears to look like extortion. He threatens them and they panic on what harm he can cause them. It should be considered an abuse of power. Where will he stop if he grows increasingly demanding.
