Brought to you by Senate and House Republicans who refused to allow a clean bill for Zika funding be voted on and instead demanded that cuts to Planned Parenthood and the ACA be part of any deal for funds.

If you care about your child you must do everything you can to protect them from this virus. If that means you have to relocate while you carry the child then that is what you will have to do.

Until now, local transmission of mosquito-borne Zika -- which can cause devastating birth defects in babies -- has been restricted to a neighborhood in north Miami known as Wynwood. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had already advised that pregnant women not travel to the Wynwood area, and on Friday the agency extended that advisory to include the Zika-affected area of Miami Beach.

The new cases bring the total number of infections spread by local mosquitoes to 36, Gov. Rick Scott said. The five latest patients were infected within a 1.5 square mile area of Miami Beach, said Scott, whose state is the first to experience a Zika outbreak from native mosquitoes. The bulk of the USA's more than 2,200 cases of the virus are related to travel.

The new updates said pregnant women and their partners should not go to the two affected areas, which now include a 1.5-square mile area on the island city of Miami Beach, which spans from Eighth Street in the south to 28th Street in the north. The CDC also cautioned pregnant women from any unnecessary travel to all of Miami-Dade County.

We believe we have a new area where local transmission is occurring in Miami Beach,” said Florida Governor Rick Scott during a press conference on Friday. There are now 36 cases of Zika from local mosquitoes in Florida. Scott said that among the five cases there are people from New York, Texas and Taiwan who were infected in the Miami Beach area. The affected area in Miami beach is less than 1.5 square miles.

Everyone must do what they think is best. I personally would not move anywhere because I don't think Zika is as rampant as they are putting on. I would understand someone not feeling the same way.
