Australian Muslims should publicly disavow"belligerent" verses of the Koran to weaken the moral conviction terrorists say the holy book gives them, a judge has said while jailing two Sydney terror-plotters."Terrorists' reliance on verses of the Koran to support an Islamic duty of religious violence has been seen with more or less clarity in a number of NSW and Victorian cases," Justice Des Fagan said in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday.https://www.sbs.com.au/news/judge-tells-australian-muslims-to-publicly-denounce-belligerent-verses-of-the-koran?fbclid=IwAR2l4PZXMSyRWqoduM75cKe-Qn_BtI0ckr7lEaxmDTbwvxamk8J_fKdyzpc

I am not a Muslim and I don't know anything about Koran for I am a Christian. But I think these Muslims misinterpreted the Koran's verses.

How often has he mentioned people that have Bibles at home? This is disgraceful racism.

Angela, how often do you hear terrorist recite verses from any other religious book than the Qu’ran? Oh, no need to call people ‘racists’, Muslims come in all colors and ethnicities.

When was the last time hard line Christian extremists were arrested in Australia in the midst of plotting an act of terrorism? Happy to wait whilst you scramble to find an example, because there are none.

No expert on this but context is important when deciphering religious texts. I’m sure there are plenty of verses in the Bible or pretty much every other religious text that sound awful without the context.

The Quran and Bible where both written a long time ago. The difference between the 2 is that followers of the Bible have evolved with time and they disregard the stupid stuff. Unfortunately many Followers of the Quran still think it’s 1400 years ago and are yet to evolve.

Your interpretation of this in its context please? ---- Sahih Bukhari (52:177) - Allah's Apostle said,"The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say."O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."
