When if we don't guard the DMZ heavily, then South Korea might get attack from North Korea.

They patrol along and in the demilitarized zone and only respect power and will push if not under immediate threat. We need to be there to keep up the current"peace".

It seems to be an oxymoron to have a heavily guarded demilitarized zone. If people want to make it militarized, then they have the right to do so, but it does not make sense to make it guarded and continue to call it a demilitarized zone.
