Starbucks Corp Chief Executive Officer Howard Schultz said on Sunday that the company planned to hire 10,000 refugees over five years in 75 countries, two days after U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order banning refugees from certain countries.

I dropped that company long ago. Not sure how a coffee company became socially and culturally relevant. Just make coffee.....we don't need you to steer the nation.

Corporate mentality at its finest. Last year this idiot raised wage rates to $15 per hour and had to lay off several thousand employees and reduced hours to many remaining. Now, instead of hiring back the skilled workers, he wants to hire non-english speaking foreigners just to prove a point. What point? How to drive a successful business into the ground?

Great. Don't hire Americans...give illegals preferential treatment with everything. The stupidity is astounding. No wonder your kid will be living with you till he's 30.

Hey Starbucks instead of hiring refugees why don't hire homeless people from are own country or better yet hire a VETERAN and give these citzens a chance instead of worrying about refugees.

Well if it was happening on US soil and not just abroad at least we will know the new refugees will be properly vetted... I'll drink (something other than Starbucks) to that... ?

There are plenty of small business owned coffee shops that we can go to. Their coffee and service is much better than Starbucks and we would be helping the local economy

Too Bad, these big corporations don't help the unemployed vets and homeless in our country. Come here legally and go through the immigration process before you can hold a job. I'm not against immigration at all. I do however see people here that could use the help, that fought to give you your freedom!

Sooo... you're basically saying you won't be hiring American workers? I don't drink Starbucks all that often as it is, but I guess it's going to be never now. Liberalism is a mental disorder!

Wow!!! Shows you where their priorities are. How about hire 10,000 Americans that need a job? You sir are what's wrong with this country!!! Becareful what you say and do, Target is learning what happens when you react without thinking!

I hope they know it's against Muslim religion to work under an American. Pretty sure Starbucks would also be considered"American/ western culture" which is half the reason they don't like us. The level of stupidity plaguing this country is astronomical.

As a veteran it makes me sick to read this. So many of my brothers are homeless or don't have jobs. Sick and tired of this refugee crap. Hire Americans first. I happen to have two bags of Starbucks coffee downstairs. Rest assured they are the last purchases of anything having to do with Starbucks I will ever be buying!!!!!

Guess this is time to cut my gold card and Starbucks habit. To make a commitment to hire a specific people group over qualified, job needing, legal Americans...exactly what is going wrong in our country. We can't even take care of our own homeless, hungry, children in homes without parents or a future to look forward to, but yes, let us go out of our way to prove how big our hearts are by stepping over all those less fortunate Americans in order to reach the hands of those illegal immigrants who are deemed more worthy. Their crisis is what's popular and in the news. What about here in America? What about taking care of our people in crisis? Do you see any other countries sending in people or money to America to help? This is my commitment and response to Starbucks. America made this brand a success & America can take it away. #Americafirst #Starbucksnomore

That's ok I prefer Dunkin Donuts anyways ....... too bad they don't want to hire able bodied Americans that need a job . I think Dunkin Donuts just got themselves a lot more customers . Starbucks is way over priced anyways

If Americans would commit to never doing business with establishments like this again they'd change their tune... money is all that matters to them I'll make my own coffee!! #byenotbuy #neveragain

The preferred hiring on the basis of being a refugee is discriminatory. Where is the ACLU now protecting our rights? Starbucks ought to be thinking opening stores and hiring people in America's poor and depressed neighborhoods.

What's wrong with American workers...why people buy coffee at Starbucks is beyond me...it's time working Americans start boycotting establishments like Starbucks,Chilli's,Hollywood, and even the NFL....hit them where it hurts..in the wallet.

Meanwhile Americans on welfare can't find work, Veterans are living on the streets and poverty continues to rise in America! We can't continue to absorb the world's poverty and oppression without becoming impoverished and oppressed ourselves! #MAGA #America first !

Hate Starbucks anyway....funny how these people are so worried about giving non Americans jobs while Americans are homeless and starving....many of which fought for our freedom....shame on you, Starbucks!

Time to boycott Starbucks as they CLEARLY do not have the interests of the American people at heart. $5 for coffee with a little chocolate added to it is a bit much anyway.
