The things we eat and drink on a daily basis can impact our health in big ways. Too many carbohydrates, for instance, can lead to insulin resistance, which is a major contributor to cardiovascular disease and Type 2 Diabetes. But what are carbs, exactly? And what do they do to our bodies? Richard J. Wood explains.

I eat plant based and very large amounts of carbohydrates all day everyday. Low glycemic carbs which are high in fiber majority of the day except maybe before and or after training. I have no negative side affects even with living with just one kidney.

Refined carbs are associated with obesity and metabolic diseases, but unprocessed carbohydrate foods are very healthy.

Can somebody explain why I feel excessively sleepy after consuming white rice? I've been told it's related to diabetes but my blood sugar level is normal.

Yes but let’s not talk about the increased risk of cardiovascular disease from animal products or the strain on your kidneys from issuing protein as a primary source of energy. This video makes a lot of good points but at the same time is disappointingly misleading at the same time.
