When I was 10 my group of friends came up with a money making scheme. One of them had heard that the Mercedes insignia on the hood of cars was worth a lot of money (I'm not sure who we thought would buy them) so we came up with a plan to steal as many as we could.
So began our crime wave, in the dark of night (well about 8pm we couldn't stay out late) we went around breaking off the insignia from every Mercedes we could find. In the end we had about 20, but we knew they were too hot to sell straight away so like we'd seen in the cartoons we decided to bury them in an abandoned field behind our street.
But before we could collect our fortunes, developers moved in a week later and started building houses on top of where our treasure was buried. I like to think that in a thousand years time theirs going to be a very puzzled archaeologist.

Lip balm. Because I was a teenager and it was small and easy to steal and exciting.

Wow! I have almost the exact same story.. But I got caught.. I was 14 at the time. The judge made me work in a garage to repay my debt. After I was done the owner offered me a job. I worked there for 7 years and I now know how to fix cars. I made more money there than I would've ever made selling the emblems I stole.. I learned that crime DOES pay.

When I was about 6, my family was at a market. Mum and dad went off for food and other adult goods, and me and my brother visited the toys stall. There was a cap gun which looked really cool and intended to buy it with my brother, who bought another thing and I assumed he paid for me, seeing as he had the money and everything.
We walked away and about 5 minutes later my brother pointed out that we didn't pay for it and I should return it. Of course in my mind I thought I was going to jail so threw it in some bushes and felt sick out of fear.
Later on I saw the guy at the stall walk toward me and I actually pissed myself. He walked right by me, so he didn't notice I stole the gun, but I was close to crying while I stood there like an idiot pissing my pants.

Not me, but my sister stole one of those Hit Clip mini music player things when I was 5, she would've been 6 or 7. I remember her telling me to come into her room, then she brings out the Hit Clip. All she said was"I stole this." I remembered being in awe.
Now, we don't talk, since she's a huge bitch.

Yes, it was rather easy. I wanted the fucking wrist watch. Ended up being $400, but hey; free watch.

Some pens in school. That's honestly it, I think. I've been a good boy my entire life... Until I got kicked out of school.

My buddy once stole gas, and by stole I mean he forgot to pay the lady at the window. He literally went 20 miles down the road before realizing this, so he turned around, drove 20 miles back and paid her, before starting his journey again.

Once. I was 12 and in a novelty shop. I tried to buy a fake ID card that said"Certified Bitch" and the old lady working there condescendingly told me that I was"too little to be buying things with such foul language" so I slipped it in my purse while pretending to put it back.

When I was about 6-7, I stole a pretty bead from a market stall. I felt insanely guilty and told my mum and she came with me to take it back and apologies.
I remember feeling really shitty about it for a long time, and I haven't stolen anything since.

When I get drunk, I usually feel like stealing. I don't know why, I can't explain it. Every now and then, I'll wake up with a hangover, four pint glasses, a couple of light bulbs, and an ashtray, all from wherever I spent the last night partying.

When I was 5 i stole a small packet of pebbles (m&m's in the 80s). My mother found them and made me return to the shop and apologies and pay for the lollies (she paid, i worked it off)
Best life lesson ever and has stuck with me ever since.

I stole a Shrek window sticker from Walmart thinking it was real. I mentioned it to my mother months afterwards when she asked. It was already on my window so there was no sense in returning it.

When I was 5 my family went to this awesome candy store and my sister was a show off and showed off how she could pay for things, but I couldn't. So I took a lollipop off the shelf and RAN out the doors to show it to my family. Sadly, my parents caught me and I got a stern talking to about shoplifting. I was very sad.

Well, I stole a pair of headphones from my roommate who stole it from a Target he frequently stole from. I thought I could take the role of karma for a day.

I stole over 500 dollars from an office I worked in when I was an asshole teenager. I'm pretty sure the manager knew, but didn't say anything because she felt sorry for me. I spent it on food, a bus pass, and cigarettes.

I stole sweets once when I was six or seven, felt bad for like a month after. There were also these Pokemon collectible things (they looked like dog tags, it was odd) that I used to buy. Whenever I was grabbing one from the box to legitimately pay for , I'd also pocket one. I justified it by thinking about how unfairly expensive they were.

Yes, I have stolen some things, I was about 12-13yr old and it was pretty stupid. I had a friend at school but I kinda was an asshole. One day he left his wallet somewhere so I took it and put it in my backpack. Later in class he notices his wallet is gone, he asks around and apparantly someone saw me take the wallet. So he asked to me: Yo, didn't you just find a wallet? I said no, and pretended to look around in my backpack while I was just hiding the wallet. Then I showed them the bag and said: see? no wallet. They believed me and took the wallet home. There was about 5 or 10 euros in it and felt like a pimp.

Oh yes... I am really not proud of it, but when I was young some friends and I built some kind of gang and we needed some booze and money and stuff. So we went to a bigger department store and started lifting everything we could.
In hindsight I wouldn't do it again so mich trouble and police and..
