Having an extra room at home would be handy. You could convert it into a home office. It should look professional and have all the office equipment. Office furniture needs to look nice so in case you need to do conference calls, it would still be presentable.

I turned a spare room into an office. I need to work in an environment where it's quiet and has lots of natural light. I asked a friend to help me design it so it would look professional.

A home office should look neat and professional. No personal items should clutter it. I found a nice simple design that I had done at home. It didn't cost much but it looks expensive.

Have a clean and orderly work space. Achieving efficiency at work can sometimes be as simple as clearing the clutter from your work area. A disorderly work area is a work area that can hinder your productivity. If you're constantly struggling to find specific tools or documents in a mountain of clutter, serious work time is being wasted. Only keep items that you use daily out and about - everything else should be squirreled away where it's out of the way but also quickly retrievable.

Use calming colors and comfy furniture. You'll be spending a lot of time there so might as well make it to your taste. Get your office supplies and equipment on one side so it's easy to find.

A reliable internet access and a good working computer are required. Get a comfy table and swivel chair. All the things you will be needing must be in one place. I would want to have my work room painted white to make it look so neat.

Set a desk and chair in front of a window and fill an empty corner with a tall bookcase. Keep the furniture in sync with the existing pieces so it blends seamlessly with the entire look.
