I don't believe this man has any right to do this. I haven't even read it yet but ask I see is him holding a banana with spaghetti noodles coming out of it.

Technically it's a body transplant, as he will give the live patient a new body

It's not real, it's a total lie. This fraud has no medical data to suggest this is even remotely possible.

I would notify the neurology dept. he will require 60 neurosurgeons on stand by.

I have my doubts of this working. Only because the chance of the donor body accepting and adapting to the new brain is quite slim.

A team of researchers led by an Italian surgeon say they are planning to perform the first human head transplant in 2017 and have even recruited a volunteer, but experts remain skeptical of the experimental procedure.

Transplants of various organs are now routinely done on human patients in many parts of the world, but all attempts at head transplants done on monkeys quickly resulted in death. However, Canavero predicts that Spiridonov will not only live with his new body, but be able to walk within a year of the operation.

“When I realized that I could participate in something really big and important, I had no doubt left in my mind and started to work in this direction,” Spiridonov, a Russian computer scientist, told CEN. “The only thing I feel is the sense of pleasant impatience, like I have been preparing for something important all my life and it is starting to happen.”

Italian neurosurgeon Dr. Sergio Canavero is firm on his promise to deliver the first human head transplant to the world. He says a Chinese man will be the first patient in 2017, and now all he needs is approval and funding. Other experts are highly skeptical.

Usually the first time something is tried it does not go as planned. I am hoping with computer simulation they have practiced this over and over again to not get it wrong. There is no way I would try this would you?

Many scientists have spoken out against Canavero and Ren’s plans, accusing them of promoting junk science and creating false hopes. One critic went so far as to say the scientists should be charged with murder if the patient dies, a very likely outcome.

During the procedure, estimated to last about 36 hours, Spiridonov’s head will be cooled to around 12 degrees Celsius, cut from his body and, as quickly as possible, connected to a donated body of a brain-dead person.
