I think the most interesting would probably be the gender doesn't matter argument. I think we all were born one way for a reason. Gender absolutely matters in most situations in life. We are not equal and nothing you can say or do is going to make a man and a woman equal. Sorry!

They should have one of these every month. We need to come together as a country and a human race in general and get this issues out in the open. Some of the greatest minds in the world will be talking about issues that affect the average person that is exactly what we need. Government only cares about people with money we need people talking about us.

I think this is just what we need. I have not really researched this before but I will go and take a look and see who is going to be there.

http://fodi.sydneyoperahouse.com/home/the-propaganda-machine/ This is the person I want to see make a big point at this meeting. Dee Madigan has a lot of insight into how the media plays with our mind. Should be very interesting.

Don't be sorry I feel the same way. I am not even sure where this came from. Even someone who is changing their gender is clearly saying that gender does matter. That is why they are changing.

Talking about our problems is the only way to solve them. Especially when we can do it without the government and politicians being in the way. I hope this catches on around the world.

For 7 years now, The Festival Of Dangerous Ideas has descended on the Sydney Opera house for a series of thought-provoking discussions and 2016 will be no different. Today, the team behind the event have announced the official line-up of particularly dangerous thinkers involved in this year's event.

The main topics for this year will be Disappearing Countries, Dealing in Death, Disruptive Behaviour, and Dirty Politics. These will cover everything from inequality between generations, religious and political extremism and addressing Indigenous people dying in an international suicide epidemic.

“The reason we were really interested in have Annabel Crabb and David Marr was because they are both biographers of the potential prime ministerial candidates at that stage, and we thought that this was an interesting lens to look at that whole issue through, without knowing the outcome. Annabel and David are both long-term analysts of Australian politics so they’ll look at what the last few years of politics have told us about how we vote and why.”

This does feel like something that could open up the public's mind. Why do they call it dangerous minds I do not understand. The name makes people think negative or subjective about this get together. I don't know it just takes away from what they are trying to do by putting the word dangerous in there. Why not Festival of Great Minds.

WATER WARS ALOK JHA! Will we run out of water – and if so, when? Will the Earth suffer? Explore how water drives modern conflict and is not about to stop. This should be a very excited exchange from Alok. Water is becoming the new oil faster than we can keep up. They are shutting it off from the public what they do offer is full of metal. There will be a war on water soon I feel.

GENERATION LESS JENNIFER RAYNER Why are young people worse off than their parents? Why is the gap between older and younger Australians – in terms of work, wealth and wellbeing – growing wider? Is Australia cheating the young? This one should turn out to be very interesting also.

The water issues is a big one. I have been reading that they are stealing all the water out of the great lakes and shipping it to China. Soon we all will have to pay to get clean water to drink. It is like they want control over everything single thing God made. There is going to be reckoning soon.
