Fast food should be banned firstly because it makes you obese, secondly it links to lots of medical problems like diabetes, and lastly lots of poor people buy it because it is cheap.

Modern people do not have time to prepare food at home so it helps them save time. You can get tasty food to eat. Fast food companies provide jobs to many people so if it is banned many people may lose their jobs. Fast food takes very less time to be cooked.

As unhealthy as fast food is, freedom of choice wins out.

I don't like obesity and fat people are consuming the world as well as consuming their own lives. Join me in thinking obesity is a problem and needs to be stopped. Soon one day the world will succumb to disease or obesity and the human race will be effected greatly.

I agree obesity has to be stopped but fast food is not totally to blame for that one. I think obesity is mental. If there was no Mcdonalds on the corner people would fry their own stuff at home. lol

One of the biggest problems with fast food is the amount of added sugar—and it’s not just in sodas or desserts. Even the average burger contains 5 to 10 grams or more of added sugar, about the same as a couple of cookies.

Food is fuel for your body. It has a direct impact on how you feel as well as on your overall health. Fast food isn’t necessarily bad, but in many cases it’s highly processed and contains large amounts of carbohydrates, added sugar, unhealthy fats, and salt (sodium).

These products typically have labels saying “low-fat” – “reduced fat” or “fat-free” The problem is that these products are not healthy at all. Foods that have had the fat removed from them taste like cardboard, no one would want to eat them. For this reason, these foods are usually loaded with sugar, artificial sweeteners or other unnatural chemicals.

The answer is simple: the benefits of eating fast food outweigh the long-term implications for most people. However, once you read these reasons why all those trips to the drive through may be slowly killing you, you may just want to stop eating fast food after all.

My parents did not allow fast food in the home and I am pretty much the same. I will sneak and get some fries every now and then but other than that nothing.
