Sure, it is"assisted suicide" but what is wrong with that? What is so morally outrageous about how people choose to die?

its okay if the reason is not to prolong the suffering of a patient from too much pain.

True compassion demands that we love and support one another regardless of our function or appearance and prepare someone for their ultimate purpose which is fulfilling their humanity, not ending it prematurely as they could be enlightened and fulfill their humanity through their suffering.

If it would prolong the suffering then it's better to just end it all. It's hard to see someone alive but not really living their life. It would be pointless to live if you can't have the quality of life you deserve.

Euthanasia is not morally permissible because the dignity of a human person does not depend on the amount on suffering that someone goes through. Their dignity is inherent, being a human person.

It happens in society. You can't blame people who do it because it's hard to see someone suffer. There's no need to let them suffer if you can end it and let them rest in peace.

I do agree in some cases that euthanasia is called for. It's hard to see someone be hooked on life support. Not only is it painful to see but it can be costly too.

It it technically assisted suicide since you are cutting short someone's life intentionally. You deprive them of the right to go on and live their life.

There are likely close loved ones who want to assist in the suicide of the one who is terminally ill, because this would mean that the suffering would finally end. I think that's understandable because you don't want to see suffer for long.

If I was terminally ill, I would want my family to put me out of my misery and let me go. There's no point in living if you're strapped to all the machines. It would be pointless to live that way.

Euthanasia has been controversial because moralists see it as inhumane but I think it's better to end someone's life than make them suffer for the remainder of their lives. I wouldn't want someone to go through that.
