I'd say that, overall, it's done more good than harm for Europe.

Sounds too much like world order.

The European Union is overall a good to Europe and society. I do agree that the current Immigration system in the EU could be improved but a connected Europe is better then a disconnected Europe. I agree with David Cameron's plan to stay in the EU but making some minor improvements to the UK EU relationship.

I don't like the idea of a"one world government". The E.U. was not a good idea.

The people of Switzerland get it - they were going to join, but rescinded their application. The United Kingdom's legislative leaders are seriously considering an exit from the EU. Even if the UK doesn't leave, it presents a real challenge to the status quo within the EU leadership.

The European Union is very popular with politicians, because it's very good to politicians. It was created for their benefit. It's not so good to voters, because it denies them a voice - another reason it's popular with politicians. These days, we in Europe no longer make most of our own laws. We have them handed down to us by people we haven't elected and can't remove. The people we do elect are powerless to change anything, even if they wanted to, and most of them don't want to, because they've got their snouts in the trough of a corrupt organisation whose accounts haven't been signed off for the last sixteen years.

That's an interesting perspective Margarets... I'm not in Europe but find the whole EU question to be hugely complex. Do you think that other European countries may vote to leave the EU?
