Ernie as a young child i watched you & i still have all your records, i am so very sorry that this terrible disease has taken over your body, you will alway be known to me as a funny, happy, & loveable person. Love goes out to you & your family x

He grew up practically across the road from the Western Oval (cnr Barkly/Summerhill) so sad he missed the events of last Saturday, 62 years in the making.
