Damn that sport, taking our beloved Doctors off of our TV screens! The Euro 2016 coverage and the imminent Olympics have meant that the medical soap is taking an extended summer break – and fans were less than happy to be losing their fix from The Mill.

Doctors was commended for its hard hitting storyline about the death of a child. The portrayal, led by actress Lucy Jo Hudson, was the main storyline on screen before the break and, to be fair, we probably needed the time away to recover from the raw drama.
