I do not see the point in having a Royal Family anymore since they have no political responsibility.

I agree. It's all for their vanity I suppose.

I agree. I think they are there because of history.

I guess the Royal Family is there as a symbol of stability and history?

Yeah. I think they are still there because you can't really say that they are not relevant anymore and all you can hope is their family line dies down and with it the concept of Royal Family.

If they value history and culture, the Royal Family is an integral part of Britain. They've had them for the longest time.

The monarchy brings in around 500 million pounds annually from overseas tourists. That's a big help to their economy. People get souvenirs of the royal family all the time.

The Royal Family's spending are paid for by the government. Lavish weddings and gatherings are totally unnecessary. That amount could go to the less fortunate instead of them. They're living off their country so they have to go.

The world has seriously benefited from the Royal Family's charitable work. It has even gone as far to provide a good reputation of Great Britain and that's good publicity for them.

The Royal Family members take advantage of their position for their own benefit. They should be abolished because they use their position to abuse power and taxpayer's money.

It is not only the case that the Queen is an unelected official but pays no tax. This surely goes against every grain of reasoning in a civilized society as is ours. There is also the law to consider.

The fact that the Royal Family is apolitical ensures that they can represent the country's values without being criticized of partisan politics. Even more so, there are even those who advocate the view that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

The Queen's role is mainly ceremonial and is restricted largely to advising and consenting. It is the Prime Minister, his/her Cabinet and the MPs themselves who run the country instead and how it should be. Just get rid of the Royal Family already.

The Royal Family is an expense the government doesn't have to pay for. They're figure heads but don't do anything for the state. I don't see why they should be there.

The Royal Family lives in the lap of luxury while commoners slave away. That's not fair. There should be equality.

Monarchy has always been their form of government. It would be hard for them to change it because it would take time to establish the stability that they enjoy now.

The Royal Family has different charities that help out sectors. They do their share for the people and the government. They are good for Britain's image too.

Funding their living expense is costly. The taxpayer's pay for it. We live in a society that pushes for equality so it's about time they get rid of The Royal Family. They have all the privileges while people work their asses off. No way!
