The deep web is a beautiful place. Just be careful where you go. Don't ever click anything suspicious and obviously use VPNs and safety protocols where possible

found someone selling a"wish pill" online. Basically you take the pill, make a wish and it's suppose to make it come true. It just made me laugh how much they were trying to sell it off as something real, they made up fake elements that were supposedly found in nature and showed videos of them"making the pill" (Which was really just a bunch of blue lights being flashed at the screen).
They were selling it for a $100 a pill, sad thing is there were probably a few idiots who actually bought it.

If you were to go to one of the directories that crawls and links all the live URLs it can find, most of them will be listed as “unknown”. Some will take you to a site you can look at anyway. But a lot of them will take you to a page where it simply asks for your credentials before you can go any further. There’s nothing else. No link to “Register”, no FAQ, no indication of what is behind that password login.

Back in the day beyond the terms of a statute of limitations, you used to be able to use Kazaa and limewire and stuff to look at peoples entire computers, since they were stupid and set the entire computer to share. I used to send out an email a day to random people, pointing out that the pictures of them fucking their husband/wife/girlfriend/etc, and their social security number were freely available, along with instructions on how to uninstall kazaa/limewire.

I took photos for several vendors on silk road in exchange for samples.. I looked for bad product photos then I'd message them offering processional macro shots and logos ... I was sent beautiful buds of great weed, a giant shard of crystal meth(spent like 12 hours photographing that) and a few grams of heroin from various vendors. Was pretty awesome and surprising every time they agreed..

They said you could find anything you want on the deep web, but I was looking for Cher concert bootlegs and all I found were drugs.

It's understandable to be a bit nervous about the so-called Dark Web. It's been played up in popular culture quite a bit, and indeed it contains interesting and sometimes rather terrible content. It's also the subject of occasionally amusing speculation and fiction.

I’ve also learned that the real story is not at all the one you commonly hear—the tale of a gigantic space below our usual web, where hard-to-find vices are traded among sordid individuals totally beyond the grasp of the authorities. That is not what the dark web is.

For years there have been sites where you can instantly buy a stranger’s Social Security Number, date of birth, full name, address and phone number for under a dollar, or others that host reams of stolen credit card details, ripe for a fraudulent spending spree.

Can't it be both? There's people out there using it for illicit means, that we know, but there is more to the 'dark web' than is covered in most mainstream media.

I find the internet to be a hilarious and thought provoking place. I mostly visit social media and blog sites so you can see my limitations. Lol

Here’s a campfire story for all of those who can remember what the world was like when being on the internet was mostly looking at Geocities. One brave redditor described finding a page that was mostly cryptic messages and stray thoughts. When digging further they found a server with a directory of what looked like military faxes and HTML files containing psychologists notes.
Then a HTML was uploaded with the message “We See You” right before the server went dark. Secret military psychology site or nerdy prank? Considering the story came from an account named Fake-fakington it probably never happened…or did it?

I have yet to visit the dark web because I am sure the government has a way to watch and monitor it by now. I hear stories about what happens on the dark web and I feel they allow this to happen to catch the big fish or the people of interest.

When I first heard of this term, I got curious and started to explore further. After knowing how to access the deep web, I was shocked to see what I saw there. It is indeed a"dark" place as the name suggests. Many users are already familiar with the Internet's dark side, such as how to download music illegally, where to see the latest movies for free, or how to order prescription drugs for a little extra money, but the Deep Web goes further.

It does also depend upon which country you're accessing the dark web from, of course. In the U.S., for example, there are far fewer restrictions on what web sites you can visit than, say, North Korea. In a country with a more intrusive government, you would definitely want to be more careful about which websites you visit.

They also provide access to a slew of websites known as the Dark Web (or Deep Web), which can be reached only through services such as Tor. Silk Road is the prototypical example of a Dark Web site. Though it has now closed, with its notorious founder in prison, new online black markets have surfaced to take its place.
