Unfortunately i missed out. Went online at 10am. Ticketmaster told me i was a robot so wouldn't let me proceed then they sold all their allocations. Went to the opera house site (by now it is about 10:05) only to have 1800+ ahead of me. Waited and waited ....... No tix left. Feeling disappointed.

I missed out as well, although you can buy them on Ticketmaster's resale site for about $900 each. They need to do something to stop scalpers.

Ticketek and Tickmaster are basically un-Australian scum in my opinion... luckily I managed secure the tickets without their up-pricing BS.

I saw them a few years back. They were okay, but the first whole set was from their latest album. A coworker who went as well was disappointed and left before their encore, during which they played all of the classics.

The music icons are set to play three ‘Encore’ gigs at the venue late November, with all dates selling out instantly before appearing on resale vendors such as Ticketmaster, listed as high as $1,533 – when you consider they were sold from $127 to start with, that’s an insane mark-up.

There is no way you can get a ticket now unless you are filthy rich. I looked online and got sick at the prices. I can only imagine how much it would cost to scalp tickets.

We are thrilled all seven of our albums are about to be reissued in all formats including vinyl, each one accompanied by a rich trove of rarities including writing demos and other unreleased musical curiosities.

One lesson may be learn to live with disappointment. Given the last time the band played here there were more than 100,000 people and this time the limit is 5000 each night, even if only half the original audience were keen to return that's a guarantee of a massive number of people missing out. Which is what happened as the shows sold out in minutes.

How can you prepare for a show selling out in minutes? It is almost like hitting the lottery trying to get those first tickets.

If anyone has a ticket and cannot make it let me know. I will gladly stand in your place and film it for you. :)

To meet the unprecedented demand and to do everything possible to make the Encore shows available to as many fans as possible, Crowded House have announced a FOURTH “Encore” concert on Sunday, November 27.

“I've seen a comment from you stating you don't have any control over Resale prices for your upcoming shows. Incidentally that's the same line Ticketmaster have been using all day. What is in your control though is who you work with, surely,” McGrath said.

Many who were leaving comments were quick to point something out – Ticketmaster’s own site was reselling tickets and engaging in ticket scalping. Dean McGrath of Brisbane band Rolls Bayce left one of the more apt messages on the board:
