There's no shame in going to a Food Bank or Baby Bank. The shame is that we have a system where worker's wages are not sufficient to meet their needs. This is not a mistake, it is by design. The way our economy is organised needs to change.

Never at any point was the option of using contraception until you are able to afford having children mentioned- Why aren’t young women attempting to do more with their lives? Gaining some sort of professional training in their twenties surely would result in them being able to support their own kids. This is 2018 not 1918- we do have birth control, we can make sensible choices!

Wow. It must be wonderful to see things in such black and white terms. Thank goodness life isn’t complicated, messy and occasionally doesn’t go to plan, eh?

This is so interesting, the same story but with a mother appeared on my feed this afternoon. A lot of comments went straight to 'stop breeding if their is no dad', 'why are her nails/hair done?' . This has not happened here. I'm not making a statement about feminism and the great fight, do not misinterpret me, just it is interesting to observe.
No wife was mentioned here, and no husband there, but the responses are so different.
Both men and women attacked the woman earlier on, but everyone seems to support the man here. To be clear, I wish both the very best in a world where one parent working full time and making 'living wage' is short by ~£50/week.

There should be no shame. Do what you have to do for your kids.
