I don't think so. It's mostly the mom that does everything anyway. The dads should be at work.

I think men deserves to spend as much time as the woman when it comes to this. We do want to spend and enjoy as much time as we can with our little ones before we have to go back to work.

Yes, I don't know why some people think babies need their moms more than their dads. Apart from the obvious reasons such as breastfeeding, I really think it's a chance for the parents to bond with the child. After that it'll just be nannies and that's not fair. Dads need just as much time off as moms do

Not really. men don't play as vital a role as women do. They'd spend half the time doing other things anyway because newborns generally sleep and when they're awake, they just want to be breastfed. It's pointless for men to take as much leave

No, they wouldn't be really helping around in the house They will just be adding to the chaos.

It would be good for the dad to bond with the child and he can help around the house too. Giving birth is no easy feat and moms definitely need time to rest.

A resounding yes coming from a father here. I don't understand why only women gets to spend a lot of time with the baby. I hope changes can be made so that us fathers can also spend more time with the newborn baby.

In our country, we have parental leave wherein both the mother or the father can use the paid leave to take care of the newborn baby, It is up to the parents to divide the days off depending on how they see fit. I like how our country does this.

You can't assume that all men will be useless at home.

I don't agree. The reason shared parental leave is not taken by men is because it's impossible for him to support his family if he will be on leave. It would be better if they work and save for the better future of their child.

They should also be given the chance to be a father and a good husband to his wife. More days as paternity leave is recommended and it should be paid too.

Wow, I envy you. I wish our country would have something like your parental leave as well. It would be so good to spend time with my newborn and help my wife out.

Dads need to bond with the baby too. My wife had a difficult pregnancy and I used up all my leaves. It would be nice to have more time off so I could have taken care of her more.
