What is felony? Based on Cambridge English Dictionary, here is the definition of it: felony
noun [ C ] US -a serious crime that can be punished by more than one year in prison:

For example: Robbery is a felony. He was imprisoned for years for the crime he committed when he was young. He's a changed man now and loves his job. We should help the people like him not to go back to their old ways and not judge them because of it, after all they have served their sentence already.

Do you think it is fair to lose your job because of your past record like felony?

The felony/misdemeanor distinctions are too simple.... major felonies should stay on one's record. Lesser offenses should not affect the person once the sentence has been carried out.

It's horrible! First, so many American jails are for-profit, and they make that profit by maintaining a high population. They do that by trying to avoid rehabilitating people. As a result, people often end up worse than when they went in, re-offend, and go back.

There are people that have felonies such as possession of drugs which is less than an oz and get out of prison and turn their lives around. It is not fair that men and women served their time and get out and still suffer for the mistakes they made when they were younger or just was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
