Falling in love is quite possibly one of the most beautiful things to experience. Whether it happens when you're 21 or 51, love can make you feel as if nothing can go wrong in your life. When you've met the person who sweeps you off of your feet, inevitably, not everything is going to line up perfectly.

So what if you find out that their religious views don't align with yours? Do you abruptly end things? Do you convert over to their religion or talk to them about converting over to yours?https://www.thisisinsider.com/dating-someone-different-religion-2018-1

If you are dating or having a relationship with someone with different religious beliefs you must be open minded and respect your differences. As what they say, love conquers all.

We (me and my husband) not only have different religions, but we come from very different background and also languages :) Of course it works, because we are human and share same values :)

Absolutely agree. My wife is Indian and I am English - different religions, languages and backgrounds. But it works fantastically because of love and shared values. 😊

As a Christian, it's important for me to be with another Christian. When the hard times come, when major decisions have to be made, when children need to be brought up: these are the times when our core faith is needed, and I need someone to be on the same level, praying to the same God, teaching my children about this God that I love, etc. When I'm struggling with my faith I want someone to understand the ins and outs of what that means.

True. I love Jesus. He’s the best. And He’s not a big fan of religion or labels, either. The freedom I’ve experienced through Him is like nothing else.

I'm an atheist and personally I don't want to date a religious person. I don't agree with any faith so I think being with a religious person would drive a wedge in our relationship.

Hope you'll change your mind and reconsider allowing someone into your life who happens to have a religion.

I'm a Christian and my boyfriend is a Hindu, we share the same values and I've never been happier than when I'm with him.

I am not religious and don't believe in any specific thing but I am open-minded to other people's beliefs and I've always suspected that perhaps the feeling that I get when I'm in nature is the same feeling that, say, a Christian feels in church? I've tried to express this to cousins of mine who are very religious and I also felt like it was something difficult to communicate, but hearing you say something so similar really helps validate that. Thank you for being so open and sharing this with us. ❤

Yes! I agree. Nature had always felt like a church to me, or how I assume people feel in a church.
